WHOLESALE ACCOUNT FAQ
How do I apply for a wholesale account?
You can submit an application here. Wholesale accounts are available exclusively to the following business types:
- Apparel Decorators & Promotional Product Businesses – Custom apparel shops specializing in embroidery, screen printing, or promotional products.
- Outfitters & Guides – Businesses that lead hunting, fishing, or outdoor activities and sell branded merchandise to their clients. This includes hunting lodges, bush plane services, offshore fishing outfitters, whitewater rafting outfits, etc.
- Apparel Brands – Businesses whose primary revenue comes from selling their own branded merchandise. We do make an exception for retail stores within the outdoor industry.
- Note: Businesses such as bars, construction companies, restaurants and similar industries do not qualify unless merchandise sales are their main focus. We understand that branded merchandise may be part of your company’s marketing effort, but since it is not the primary revenue driver, our focus is to support our wholesalers whose revenue is primarily from sale of their merchandise. How is wholesale pricing structured?
We offer three wholesale pricing tiers based on cumulative spend:
- Starter – Standard wholesale pricing.
- Pro – 10% off standard wholesale pricing after reaching $15,000 in total spend.
- Elite – 15% off standard wholesale pricing after reaching $30,000 in total spend.
Your spend accumulates from your first order, and once you qualify for a tier, you stay there—no downgrades and no annual resets!
Example Pricing:
- Starter: $9.00 per hat
- Pro: $8.10 per hat
- Elite: $7.65 per hat
How do I place a wholesale order?
All orders should be placed through our online store for consistency and ease.
You can include a purchase order (PO) for your records at checkout. It will be on your packing slip, making it easy for your receiving department to handle.
Can I place a backorder?
Yes! For wholesale backorders, email us at boom@losthat.com.
Payment is due at the time of order, and we’ll ship as soon as stock is available.
There is often a variance between when we expect a shipment to arrive and when it actually arrives. This can be a week early to 5 days later than our expected ETA. Pre-paying for your backorder eliminates further delays on your order shipping.
We will not ship any unpaid backorders - no exceptions.
Can I apply if I don’t have a website?
We are unable to approve wholesale accounts without either a valid website OR social media presence, preferably both.
We require this to verify that your business fits within our wholesale requirements.
If you have a website or social media page that showcases your business and it wasn't included in your application, please send an email to boom@losthat.com, and we will be happy to review your application again.
Do you offer payment terms?
We do not offer payment terms at this time.
As a smaller operation, we’re focused on growing sustainably and reinvesting into inventory and warehousing needs rather than the admin/office roles necessary to manage Account Receivable. Offering payment terms is a future goal, but we do not have a set timeline.
What are your wholesale shipping rates?
For wholesale accounts, shipping is free on all orders over $500.
Orders under $500 will have shipping costs calculated at checkout based on the order size and destination.
We work hard to offer competitive shipping rates and get your hats to you as quickly as possible.
